Runner With Knee Pain
Running Less Than 1/4 Mile to 6 Miles in 4 Weeks!
“My enjoyment of running was suffering as a result of lingering IT band and knee pain. After several months of marginally effective self, directed rehab and PT, I discovered ELITE Sports. She’s helping me improve my running form, suggesting several simple drills/stretches and most importantly, giving encouragement along the way. She responds quickly and directly to my questions. I feel she is genuinely interested in seeing me succeed.
The results in 4 weeks have been dramatic, progressing from only being able to run a few hundred yards to over 6 miles! The pain is diminishing, my running confidence is returning and there is a renewed sense of purpose in my training. I attribute this to Alisha’s treatment program and her genuine approach. 5 stars for Alisha and ELITE Sports!”

Triathlete With Low Back Pain
Walking with a Cane to Running a 10k!
“I started seeing Alisha starting this summer in serious need of help. Being an older runner/triathlete, the body finally started to rebel to the point, I had to stop running or anything for more then 2+ years. Earlier this year I was reduced to walking with a cane. After seeing a couple back doctors, MRI’s, etc. I concluded that my running days were over. Since seeing Alisha, I’m back running and just finished my 1st 10K in many years. It wasn’t fast, but it was a finish! I still have a long way to go, especially since I don’t like to stretch. She is magic.”
Active Mom Post Hip Arthroscopic Surgery
Planning a Second Surgery to no Longer Needing it!
“I was a hip scope patient that was 5 months post op and dealing with scar tissue. I was facing a revision if I wasn’t able to break it up on my own. The exercises I was doing at home were not working and I knew I needed more. I was limited on my pt visits through my insurance company and paying my current therapist an out of pocket rate was through the roof. I found Alisha on google! I called and was blown away just from our telephone conversation. She actually took the time to TALK to me on the phone. I didn’t feel rushed to hang up or make an appointment. She understood exactly was I was talking about which was refreshing. She was self pay and totally reasonable which was what I needed. My first appointment I was nervous and she took it slow and explained everything. She shared my range of motion measurements with me and was very open and honest about her professional opinion which I love. We gave it a full effort and I followed her protocol for me to a T and over 6 weeks we had SUCCESS! I gained full ROM back and was having less pain. At my follow up with my surgeon he was blown away at my progress and was surprised I was able to break it up that far post op. Alisha saved me from a revision and I am thrilled!! I am now recovering from my second hip scope on the other side (due to FAI and torn labrums) and I can’t wait to get back to her hands on techniques!”
Active Grandma Post Shoulder Surgery
Surgery to Swinging Kettle Bells!
“I may be a grandmother but I certainly am not ready to pare down on my activities or ability to do day to day things. When I found myself unable to move or lift my arm, I began therapy with Alisha thinking I just over extended it. I began to immediately get some range of motion and relief from the pain. We thought we were on the road to recovery. My shoulder had other plans. A few weeks into my program, my shoulder bound up tighter than ever before. It was then I went for an MRI and a consultation with a surgeon to understand what exactly what was going on. I was diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder). I immediately made arrangements to have a manipulation done to “tear” my shoulder loose. In order for this to be effective, I would require daily therapy sessions for two weeks starting the day after the procedure. I had this done on December 23. Alisha committed to work with me on Christmas Eve and all through the holiday season. Even on New Year’s Day, she met with me to continue to gain back my range of motion. As much as I was determined, Alisha was committed to getting me back to swinging kettle bells in the shortest amount of time.
During the whole process, Alisha was diligent in keeping my at home exercises at the right level. She followed up with me consistently to make sure I didn’t have any questions. I am happy to say I am back to complete range of motion now. My time with Elite Physical Therapy was time and money well spent. If and when the need arises I will think of no one else to go to. Alisha will be my first call. I will continue to refer my friends and family as well. She is the best in the area.”
College Student with Severe Low Back Pain Post Surgery
Unable to Exercise to an Active Lifestyle!
“In April 2014 I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and had two very bad herniated discs in my L4-L5 and L5-S1 which caused my entire left leg to go numb. I tried other therapists but ultimately I ended up needing a micro discectomy done in May 2014. Unfortunately following surgery my numbness didn’t go away and my pain only showed slight improvement, but the surgeon said it was the worst herniation he had ever seen and wasn’t sure how I had feeling in either of my legs. He said I would have flare ups and would have to take pain medicine but I should be able to return to full activity. That didn’t happen, I was in more pain more often then not and I never felt good enough to even attempt to work out. I tried the same therapist as before surgery for my post surgery therapy but did not have any success. At the age of 25 I was in crippling pain and very limited on my activity, after my moms recommendation I came to see Alisha at Elite. After my first visit I was already feeling improvement! She gave me stretches/workouts to do at home and wanted to check back in a week. The workouts were simple but effective, she emailed me immediately following my appointment to list out what my workouts were for the week and made it very clear that she was available for communication should I be uncomfortable with anything she gave me to work out. After 4 visits with her she has me working on core strengthening as well as my back stretches so that I can work my way back to the active lifestyle of a 25 year old graduate student! I cannot say enough great things about Alisha and the help she gave me to get me back up on my feet, I would recommend her to anyone!”
